EVNEW question...

Back when I played EV/EVN on a mac, I could have sworn that Nova Tools and whatever add on edited EV plugs had the ability to make it so that every plug in you made had all of the resources of the game right in it. Is this possible to do with EVNEW?

Please? I really, REALLY, need to know this! It's nearly impossible to find want I need to know in the many various nova files! Or at least some kind of trick that people with EVNEW use to make plug-in making easier.... -.-

Sorry about the double post bump, I really need help.

Nova Reference - 2.50 mb
This is the EVEN MORE ULTIMATE resource for anyone making plugins or who just wants to find out the deal on some aspect of the game. This is an Excel spreadsheet that contains ALL the resources in EVN and all of thier data (with the exception of desc, str, sound, and graphics). Want to know exactly the specs of some ship or outfit? Making a plug and need to look up something quickly? Instead of opening up the datafiles and hunting for it, you can just look it up in this spreadsheet. Note that actually understanding the data often requires the EVN bible. Contact Azratax with questions or comments (Azratax@aznt.com AIM: Azratax). This new version converts most resource ID's to names, parses modvals, and so on. Total uncompressed size is a whopping 13mb.

That's what I use when guess #3 fails.

you can open multiple EVNEW windows so just open every thing so that you can figure out where all the rez components are then modify them from there.

like all the ship components are in Nova Data 1.rez as well as misn govt and the only char that can be used in the game pre modification...

you can copy and past into new EVNEW plugin windows... each time you want another just double click on the EVNEW.exe icon and it will run another window of EVNEW on your machine each one can open another .rez file

enjoy...

I would perfer that guide. Still, looking through it all, even if open at the same time, is kinda crazy. o.o;

Thanks though! Now I can get back to plug-in editing.
