Rendering in Strata 3.0.2

Help?

I recently offered to render some models in Strata 3D 3.0.2. However, the model I just received had already had a failed attempt at rendering by the other person, and so the rotation and stuff is all off and crap like that. Makes it extremely difficult to animate. I had toi undo all the animating he'd done and start it over. So, I figured, I can just delete those little diamonds, right? Wrong. No effect whatsoever.

There's some trick to this, I'm sure. I just don't know what it is. Can someone (COUGH!JULES!COUGH! ;)) help me out here? Pleaseeee?

I know you can delete those diamonds, though I found you have to delete them one by one. I especially remember doing it because I had to delete about 300 of the little buggars. Not fun.

Exactly how I did it though, I can't remember. It was a long time ago. Sorry.

Yep, just go ahead and delete them. You can shift-click them to select more than one then delete them all. You should also try making the ship model into a 'Shape' - Show the 'Resource' pallette, click the 'Shapes' button, then click the 'New..." button on the left. That way you can fiddle around with the model shape, and you only have to do the animated rotation once. BTW - I do all my stuff in Strata, so if you need any help, just let me know! Got a few ships coming up.

Thanks! So it's easier to turn it all into a shape instead of a group? Yeah, that makes sense...

I appreciate it. And yeah, there's a lot of diamonds...
