I hadn't heard of it until Tuesday (August 10), but I was impressed with it. As I said, it hasn't been released yet, but it was featured at both the Apple and ATI booths at SIGGRAPH. The interface can really be anything. Any combination of windows, pullouts, etc. It can look and behave like Maya with ease, but it can also be recombined to look like XSI or Lightwave, or anything you want it to look like. If you spend the time configuring it properly, learning the program, or transitioning to it can be really easy. As I said, though, it's only a modeler. There may be a rendering engine in the future, but for now, you have to use other file fomats.
