Texturing can be a real pain if you don't have that large of a collection. So i've decided to upload a part of my Decal collection for your downloading. Decals can go a long way in making your ships look more authentic.

Cool, I've too have been stacking shiatloads of decals I've made, doing that EVO ship graphic TC plug-in thingy. I even went as to invent decals for different alien races like the Voinians.

This is where plug-ins benefit enormously from having a 2D artist as well as a 3D one onboard. I know for the plug I'm involved in, I've done some stuff like this, and even done some crests for different factions - it makes a ship look so much more realistic when it's got the appropriate emblem or emblem(s) on it.

Skyfox, nice work, this should help out some of those starting texturers, and if nothing else, give them some good ideas on how to make their own decals.

Own decals?? LOL these were scanned off of a decal sheet for an FA 18 Hornet Model Kit that I bought ages ago.
I miss that model, I had a nice airplane model collection once. But then my little brother came along...
So the truth is... I didn't make these out of scratch. Heh.

Heh, I think I have the same kit. Yeah, those plane decals are great. I'm sure people could find more on Google, even.

You could probably even go by your local hobby store and just buy a plate of decals. I know the place near my house sells all sorts of common military decals as replacements for the ones that come with kits. Of course you then scan them into your computer.
