I was thinking, should this topic be moved to the EVO board?
(UPDATE) Incase anybody cares to know, I have coded half the campaign plot already. When I am near to completion, I may have to start recruiting beta testers and a couple of other people for a different task I want to have created. (/UPDATE) -----
The length of the war against the Voinians was taking a toll in morale in many UE military officers, pilots, captains, and such throughout the battlefront and those from the UE core worlds who have to deal with the renegades. Even after the Hinwar gained their independence, the military discipline in each of them deteriorated to a point that it brought the attention of the UE high brass. Meanwhile, Admiral d'Erlon in his spare time, was training UE recruits in the arts of battle tactics and strategic scenarios which have always been frowned upon by Admiral McPherson and other senior staff. His top and brightest student, Major Sarah McGale, which he personally took under his wing, was an unmannered troublemaker whose outstanding citation with her commanding officer more than qualified her for a court-martial. Had it not been for d'Erlon's persuasive case to keep her in the navy, the major would of likely offered her service to work for her sister, Joanne who operated outside of UE jurisdicition. This was something nobody in their right minds wanted to happen.
d'Erlon joined the other admirals in a meeting to discuss the morale problem growing within the navy community. Vice Admiral LeRanno, an arrogant and ruthless man, whose brutal method of dealing with the Voinians and the wealth of influence that got him the position, proposed an idea. He brings up the subject of Outpost Omicron, and its lack of Voinian raids in the system. The station was seen as an ideal place to consolidate all the most uncontrollable UE insubordinants in the navy. It would allow the war to progress smoothly without any interference. A unanimous vote was passed to go with LeRanno's proposal. To d'Erlon, it meant betraying his protegé by signing her off to the station as well.
In the following months, Outpost Omicron was getting alot of traffic. More and more officers, pilots, and low-ranking commanders from throughout were reporting to their new assigned post. Unfortunately, a protest broke out in the station, claiming that the military was turning the station into a large detention center for officers the high brass could not deal with. Another meeting was called up once again. Admiral d'Erlon was not being himself lately as he kept quiet during the meeting. Still, not even his cool attitude could avoid McPherson's attention on himself and he demanded to know what was on d'Erlon's mind. LeRanno observing what was going on mocked d'Erlon's "favorite pet" being vunerable at Outpost Omicron. Not withstanding that insult, he turned the table on LeRanno by pointing out a major flaw with his proposal. McGale's reputation stood out the most like a big throbbing sore thumb amongst the rest of her peers. Her disgruntled look on her newly assigned post on the god forsaken station may likely force her to stage a coo against the UE chain of commands throwing the entire war effort into a state of chaos. Already, it was discovered that she was responsible for rallying many of the people onboard for a protest against the unjust reassignment by the high brass.
The meeting disrupted into a minor crisis, the admirals were jabbering away with not knowing what to do to avert this possible disaster. Vice Admiral LeRanno was in a state of mixed emotions as he realized his plans may backfire and jeopardize his career. The only person to keep his calm is the devious Admiral d'Erlon. When everybody calmed down, he brough up a proposal of his own. He points out that McGale is able to control a large mob which more than credits her ideal of being a leader. d'Erlon wants to promote her in a position which hopefully will quell any possible uprisings and resentments at Outpost Omicron. He even goes on to suggest giving her a full chain of command of her own. This would release the UE military from any actions and consequences taken on by the major. Naturally, LeRanno's close-minded and prejudice disapproved the idea of giving that much power to an unstable and dangerous person. His temper forced McPherson to chastise his rude behavior. Almost everybody in the meeting were in favor of d'Erlon's solution.
Later, Maj. McGale was called into office where d'Erlon promoted her as Outpost Omicron's new station commander. She was also shocked to hear that she will be given full command of her own post, and that her ties with the UE military will be loosened to give her breathing space. However, the high brass will have no ties whatsoever with any fatal mistakes or consequences as a result of her actions. She will be allowed to make any offensive strike plans against the Voinians as she sees fit. Giving this new power of authority and command, Commander McGale, still called by her former rank by her officers, retrained many of the pilots, captains ,and crews with skills she learned from d'Erlon. Not to be associated with the name of a notorious renengade captain, the Hellcats Strike Force was born from a large group of misfits.

Well, what do you think? I know this doesn't expand much of the plot of my expansion plug-in for EVO, but this was just a background story which explains the characters the player will encounter. I have much of FOTVE done, and am currently writing in the missions. So far it's going well. Hope I don't have to run into any more problems. (knocks on wood, no not that one!)

Not bad, it seems. However, if this is to be a preamble of sorts, you should vary your sentence lengths a bit... it was getting a little monotonous until the end. Other than that, it seems fairly interesting. Have you considered making it a Nova plugin for the EVO port?

Sorry about that, bad habits. I was using this format to write out the plots seperately in general to describe how the player would accomplish a mission in general.
Somehow I must of forgotten to get out that mode when I wrote this.
