Do horizontal boosters (i.e. outfits that modify jump radius) work with the AI? I have a mission that depends on AI ships being able to use that, or at least have their jump radii made ridiculously high.

I'm afraid that the answer is 'No' to this one. I've tried something like this before.

You could always just make that system have a loopy system center with nothing near it.
Then the ships could jump near the planets. Of course, this fix really depends on what you need it for and whether you want the player to be able to jump as well.
