Well, I've been searching for about an hour, and have still to come up with a working method that allows you to change the EVN intro music on windows. Does anyone know if it's possible?

I thought all you had to do was rename an .mp3 "Nova Music.mp3" (without the quotation marks). Depending on whether you have Windows set up to hide file names, you might just have to call it "Nova Music".
In the interest of full disclosure, I must point out I use a Mac and have never touched EV:N (W).

ah, everything I read said you had to type "Nova Music.mp3", but in my case, I needed "Nova Music". Thanks a bunch, let's hope I don't run into any other stupid mistakes
one advice: don't replace that with your favorite song. it WILL make the song 'go old' very, very fast.
