Um, okay, I know the Trolls are in the West, and I've looked all around near the tunnel entrance, but what's this about a blade tip? Do I need that to find troll central? Because I've been all the way to the witch's finger tunnel entrance and I've haven't found troll central yet.

Hi Welshgirl. Welcome to the boards. First, forget (for the moment) about the blade tip. It has nothing to do with "Troll Sentril." You are in the right neighborhood but got onto the wrong spit of land. The Troll Lair is a little bit south of Witch Finger. "Troll Sentril" must be somewhere near the Troll Lair. If you would like a map of the area, click the Garendall Map link in my signature below and look at page 5. Troll Lair is not identified there but it should be clear where you have to go.
