A question for all ye graphics dudes...

I'm transferring to a different college at the end of next year, to major in computer animation. I had been planning on going to the Academy of Art in San Francisco, but I am rethinking that... What, in your opinion, would you say is the best school for computer animation in the continental united states (preferably in the northeast, but not necessarily)? Money is not an issue for the time being. Thanks!

Divals!

Savannah College of Art and Design is supposedly pretty well around in most any art. Take a look around there, and you could probably IM my friend Jon and talk to him about it(he goes there).

On another note, I've got some Peregrine concept art that I'm finishing up, so get your ass on AIM so we can look it over.

Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida. If you want to learn more about it go to (url="http://"http://www.rsad.edu")their site(/url) or (url="http://"http://www.conceptart.org")this site's forums(/url) (the site was started by ringling grads, and in the "Art Schools and Education section there's an enormous Ringling thread with lots of information.)

I got into the computer animation program this year - it's very competitive. You'll have to start as a freshman. They've got people who go to SIGGRAPH every year, and loads of companies come to watch their senior thesis show every year.

After all that, I'm actually not going there next year. I got a full scholarship somewhere else, but I would have gone there.

IM me if you want to talk about the process and the people there (I went to PreCollege for a month at Ringling last year). My IM is lwavesparky

I suppose this will be locked down/moved soon. I doupt that this question belongs to the Developer's Corner.

Believe me, when you hear this phrase often enough and as an answer to just about every question you ask, you'll all but kill the guy who said this.

I don't see why not. Whilst it may be more suited for the Image gallery, you cannot post their without submitting an Image, and as most of the artists who post on the IG post here aswell, I feel that Divals would get the best response by posting here.

I know it's not 100% related to developing, but the mods on here are generally pretty nice guys, so I don't think they mind.
