Did I break my plug?

I made a striker bay plug, and added it to my ship to dominate with. When it came time to dominate, though, I noticed that the strikers kept coming back to my bay. So, I modified the plug to include the striker's shďp resource, set them to not run away if out of ammo, and put it back in. Now, neither the bay nor the strikers show up in any outfitters, not even Sirrusa. I didn't notice this until after I had dominated a couple planets and went to get more. I tried going back to the original plug I had (at least I think that's the one I found...I made several versions....) and they still didn't show up. Now I have 4 bays and some strikers, but can't buy or sell any more.

How do I get them to show up? The only modification I made to the plug was adding the shďp resource, and I don't see any overwritings within my plugs.

Ok, I changed the tech level to 1 and tried again. It shows up in Fed planets and Polaris planets now....but it still doesn't show up on Nil'kemorya stations, which is where I was looking for it before. Other outfits with a tech value of 1, like the auto-recharger, still show up on those stations though. Anyone know how this could happen?

Perhaps a bit more information? Have you checked your settings? Are they set to a reasonable amount of randomness (i.e. around 25% or higher)? Do all of your resources correllate? Have you accidentally changed anything when you copied the shďp resource from the original file?

When viewing a Terrapin for the first time, I realized that anything flies-if you throw it hard enough!

Nil'kemorya planets and stations should have tech level 1. I know that they use special tech 8 and 9 for Polaris general and Nil'kemorya specific technologies, respectively. I know that setting the tech level to 0 (Zero) will have it appear at any outfitter.

If this doesn't work, clear any Require bits and the Availability string, and set the BuyRandom to 100.

And if That doesn't work... I don't know.

The availability was already cleared, and I cleared the require bits. The buyrandom for both is now 100 Since it doesn't seem to show up at Nil'kemorya bases no matter what I do, I set it at tech level 8 so I can at least buy it at Polaris outfitters without the Federation and Aurorans having access to it. At tech level 8, it does not show up at those bases, nor at tech level 1, so I don't think setting it to tech level 0 will do any good.

At some point I'm going to make a new pilot file, and if it shows up at Nil'kemorya spöbs then, I'll add that here.

Thanks.

Make sure you have no requires (bits) and that the “show only if true” is not enabled.

Finally managed to put up my (url="http://"http://starlightdev.freewebpage.org")site(/url).

Well, making a new pilot file seemed to fix it. I guess modifying it while my ship had it wasn't a good idea. Or maybe it was because I modified the ship I was flying too. I won't do either of those again....

Thanks for all your help.
