Hey guys,
I thought it was possible to assign a specific ship to the player when he accepts a mission. I thought I had seen this option somewhere in the EVBIBLE.
Now I can't find how to activate this option and it's driving me crazy. Was I just halucinating? Or is there really an option to do this?

As in change the player's ship to a different type, or give the player escorts? For the players ship, look in the ncb's section. There are three different ncbs to do that (keep outfits, dont give default outfits. dont keep outfits, give default outfits, and keep outfits and get default outfits) For escorts, assign special ships to escort the player. -Az

Where do I find that? In the misn resource?
I'm not sure if you understand what I am looking for.
When the player accepts a mission, I want the player to be automatically assigned another ship to use as his own ship.
Is this possible?

It is possible, you can do so in any On(anything) field of any resource (provided it has one), and as it is an NCB operator, so can be used virtually anywhere (not just in mďsn, I mean), it is with the other NCB operators at the beginning of the Bible. If you want the ship to be change on the acceptance of the mission, put the relevant NCB operator in the OnAccept field of the mission resource.
EDIT: Oh, and you have an old version of the Bible (a pre-release draft) available for small reference online (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/news/upcoming/novabible.html")here(/url), very useful for quick checks. ------------------ The (url="http://"https://secure.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/store/hazel.cgi?action=serve&item;=breakdown.html&BREAKDOWN;_SKUID=1480")Ambrosia Mac CD(/url) with other registrations - 5$. From The Nova Bible: **There are also a number of other operators that allow you to do many interesting things:
<snip>
Cxxx - change the player's ship to ship type (ID) xxx. The player will keep all of his previous outfit items and won't be given any of the default weapons or items that come with ship type xxx.
Exxx - change the player's ship to ship type (ID) xxx. The player will keep all of his previous outfit items and will also be given all of the default weapons and items that come with ship type xxx.
Hxxx - change the player's ship to ship type (ID) xxx. The player will lose any nonpersistent outfit items he previously had, but will be given all of the default weapons and items that come with ship type xxx.**
So, if you have a mission where you're assigned to command a specific ship, let's for argument's sake say it has a RID number of 135, you'd put C135, E135 or H135 in the OnAccept field.

Thanks. How retarded am I? It took 3 people to explain it to me!
So Azratax2 did understand what I was asking for! It was just me who didn't understand the answer.
Thanks everyone.
I knew I'd seen it somewhere! But I couldn't recall where. It was probably one of those subconscious things where I didn't actually read it, but it was in the corner of my eye so my brain remembered seeing it. (thinking)Stupid brain! If your going to take over the world you need to pay more attention to detail!(/thinking)
