For my TC, I'm converting the usage of ton to cubic meter. So I estimated the largest ship's amount of volume, and it's about on the order of 25 million cubic meters. So my question is what's the limit on the FreeMass field? If it can't fit, what would you recommend I do? This assumes I set the low-end value at 1 cubic meter for a missile. I'd especially appreciate information if you've implemented the 'accurate' space-system and how you worked around this issue.

I am reasonably confident that Nova can handle 25 million in that field. And isn't a cubic meter a little much for a low end missile?

It's pretty obvious that I'm assuming it'll likely be the same.
I should correct this. The typical missile of today for air to air combat is about a tenth of a cubic meter. My apologies.

Online conversions terms that a "dekameter" not a "decameter" - check the spelling of that... Also be sure not to convfuse it with "decimeter", which takes the size of a unit 3 orders of magnitude in the wrong direction.
My real question is: How do you plan to make fighters work, if your unit of mass is larger than a fighter would be? -Az
bear in mind that while a large ships VOLUME may be that big, it's weapons capacity certianly isn't. i suggest just limiting large ships to 32,000 and calling it good.

The thing is we're allowing a player to customize ALL components of their ship though so the full space is used.
Azratax: Webster gives defintions for both.
Essentially I think we're going to restrict the largest ship to carrier size, and then use some sort of unit equal to 10 cubic meters which would let us reduce the numbers to under 32,768 or so.
