Meeeeep! Aprosenf will see this soon enough, hopefully. In the future, for a post about an EVNEW problem, put EVNEW in the title, cause this is an EVNEW spesific issue, and we want him to see it so he can help out. (If you dont know, Aprosenf = The person who wrote EVNEW). -Az
------------------ It is here. EVNEW Public Beta (url="http://"http://www.aznt.com/EVN/EVNEW")www.aznt.com/EVN/EVNEW(/url) Stuffit is a piece of .sit.
So should a post this again with EVNEW in the name or what cuz i want it fixed :frown:
Don't repost it. It's already here. Aprosenf will most likely see when he drops by. Does this error happen with any other plugs or with just the one? If it's happening with all of them I'd try re-installing EVNEW. If it's just the plug it may have been corrupted somehow. In that case, if you haven't been backing up your work, you might be out of luck.

It was just this plug, when I uploaded a sound it got scrood up I can load all the other rez files.
Also if there is a programe that shows the *.res files as direct text I could remove the sound with enough fiddling. If there is a program that does this.

Dont try this. If this could be done, we wouldnt need EVNEW. As I recall, the start of the .rez format has to also list the offsets and sizes of all the resources in it, so removing a resource would screw things up even more. -Az
Ok I wont do that then, but it was running fine untill I added a sound.

I am suspicious that there's a bug in the evnew sound resource handling. Someone else complained about it. I dont think it was well tested (in part because the only thing harder to get than EVN graphics are EVN sounds). -Az

Maybe if you could convert it to mac format then send it to someone else to see if they can open it with resedit...

Can somone help. Change it to Mac format I will check out the plug using an enhanced version of ResEdit it can open some big spin files, and graphics in the 60 meg range. **
if you tell me haw to convert it to mac i'll gladly give you a download link to have a look at it in rez edit. It only has 1 sound and 4 Pics the rest is data stuff.

The only way to convert PC -> mac is with RezConv, EVONE, or of cource, David Arthur's Plugin converter. All of these are mac only programs - thus they can only be converted on a mac (the fact that a mac plug file cant exist on a pc doesnt help this problem). -Az

And the misn is currentally set at 50% Chance for testing and the weight for the new bays are 10 these were going to change when I released it other wise there it is.

Ok, I'm back. I was away skiing in Steamboat Springs, CO for a week. Just got back at 1:45 am last night. At this point I can't really say what's happening. The sound handling parts of EVNEW have not been tested that thoroughly and there's a good chance there could be bugs. It's rather messy to deal with Mac-formatted sounds on a Windows machine. All I can say is that I've made a few test plugins with snd resources that have successfully played in-game and not corrupted the plug. Those two links are broken. Post or send me your plugin and the sound (the .wav file) you're trying to use.
