Hey, I just registerd EVN and was wondering how to edit it with Res-Edit. I downloaded WootWares tools but how do I put them in the Red-Edit program?
-Also, I know Im risking it, but how do you make plug ins?

Copy the tools and paste them in the blank plug. (unless I've been doing it wrong all these years)

The process for installing Novatools is detailed in the Novatools readme. Note that all the dozen or so little accessory programs (EnRLE, DeRLE, Context, Resstore, and so on) are NOT integrated into resedit. They must be used seperately. To make a plugin, you just make a new resedit document, make some resources of the types nova uses, change it's type and creator codes to Npïf; and Növ;ä respectively, and pop it into the plguisn folder. Resources in plugs with the same ID as one of the same type in the stock scenario will take precedence over the version in the datafiles. Thus, if you want to "edit the datafiles" it is better to copy+paste what you want to edit into a new plugin (keeping the same RID), and edit it there - so that if something goes horribly wrong, you can just remove the plugin, instead of having to recover the datafile. No, you don't copy and paste the resources into your plug-in. It's a waste of time. It requires one copy/paste.
Open ResEdit or ResEdit preferences (yes, ResEdit can open itself). Copy and paste the resources into ResEdit/ResEdit Preferences. Enjoy.
