Pics for use as backgrounds.

These are free to use if you like. (url="http://"http://slowry.home.westpa.net/novapics.zip")pics(/url)

I made them up as I was looking for something to use as backgrounds for the larger Ship pics that are seen in the shipyard info's. They are fairly simplistic but may be useful to someone. I will leave them up until the topic drops off the main page here.

Doesn't this belong in the Image Gallery?

**yessir it does.

But he'll know next time- otherwise there's nothing wrong with the topic. It can chill.

As for the pics- they are certainly good as general backgrounds, though for large ship pics the developers generally make them parts of scenes like in battle or in action, etc. Just keep this in mind..

Interesting. Well I posted them as a resource to let other developers use. The 600x400 format is used in the shipyard info for the ships when you purchase them to show a ship in a larger size. There is a link to 9 of them in my original post and the two are just examples of what is included. As I did not make the images to show off I figured that they belonged here. If not then just remove my post. I did them to be helpful but if the help is not wanted then I know better now.

I'd personally say that this is the right place for these images - they are images, yes, but not of the type the Image Gallery usually gets.

I suppose you're right, when I think about it, the Image Gallery is more for showing off images rather than posting them for others to use.

A quick question to go with this.

I am trying to find out how to activate these shipyard info pics. I see that Nova has them all in the 20,000 RID for pics however I can not find where I should plug in the rid into the plug to make them come up. I also tried to number them as Nova does by adding the ship RID 20,000 and that does not do the job.

That's a poorly documented feature. If you open up Nova Ships 7 and look at the descs in the 13000 range, you'll see that it's the Graphic field of the shipyard descs that point to the big shipyard picts.

Once the post disappears off the main topic page I will delete them from my site. But if someone wants to host them your welcome to do so as I made them for anyone to use.

Thanks for the help once again. I am doing a happy dance once again.
