Anyone interested in trying a modified version of EVO Classic for Nova?

We decided not to make this a plug-in, but a modified version of the EVO for Nova 'Overide Data 2' file, so that it would be as compatible as possible with plug-ins.

We adjusted some of the data in the 'Override Data 2' file so that EVO is closer to the original version.
The weapon and outfit speed is 200% faster and the duration has been halved.

These modified versions contain no new missions, systems, planets, outfits, weapons or ships.

We've made 2 versions.

The first called EVO_Classic_ModX applies the changes to the weapon and outfit speed and duration.

The second called EVO_Classic_Slaughtered makes the game more challenging by maximizing each ship's weapon and ammunition load. No free extra mass has been applied to any of the ships in the game. Most of the free mass that each ship already had, is used to add extra weapons and / or extra rockets etc.
The AI controlled ships, especially the Voinians and Renegades, are more dangerous.

These are Beta versions which replace the 'Override Data 2' file in your 'Nova Files' folder.

You need to start a new pilot and we recommend that you make a backup copy of the original 'Nova Files' folder including all of the Override for Nova data or simply copy the original to a new folder.

We're looking for more Beta Testers.

Each file is only 40 KB when compressed with Stuffit Deluxe 5.

That would not make plugins any more compatible, so It would be better in plugin format.

We've modified 'Slaughtered' so that it's now a Plug-In.

Implemented armor regeneration to keep it the same as the original EVO.

Added more weapons to some ships where space was available.

There's a Beta Testers list somewhere on this board. You should e-mail some of the people on that asking if they'd be willing to test your plug; if they weren't going to expect results they wouldn't have posted there.

Actually, what I would like to see is a Nova version of Override. I don't mean the port version where literallly all of Override's datas were just transfered.

I mean the world of EVO being viewed closer with more details as in many kinds factions in a renegade world. Variations of ships. More in-depth plots of the Zachits struggles against the strand Renegades, stuff like that.
