I went to the Guild and Gack gave me the quest. I went to Fatrima and got the quest book. How do I get into the tower. I have looked and looked but can not find a clue or key or something. Man sometimes swordsmen just can not cut it.

The swordsman can't get into the tower. At least, not through the front door. You'll have to find someone to help you.
Head over to Dernath. There is someone over there that can lend you a hand.
