Using the EVCTC in Nova

There was a mention of someone who did this somewhere lower on this board, but I can't seem to find it again. Could someone "convert" the EVCTC to be usable as a plugin, not as a replacement? I loved the old game but lost interest in the conversion when I found lots of Nova features disabled, for example selling captured escorts.

Thast because its was a strait port. simple plugs can activate nova features.
