It might be interesting to have missions where your have to go to some sector and kboard ships untill you find an quest item. another thing pople could do is send convoys through certains systems and have loot only itmes, though now that i think about it, equiping might be a pain, unless somehow you linked inventory of the store u go to to the stuff in your cargo hold, so the only thing you can do this with eisily is with fighters.

Sit down, take a deep breath, and say that again in a coherent manner.

what?
A couple suggestions on posting: After you are finished typing out the topic or reply, read it over to make sure it makes sense.
Typos and spelling errors demote the credibility of your post/topic, as do abbreviated words (you as to u, for example)
Make sure that your topic has a purpose ... I can't quite understand what you want by posting this topic, are you asking a question?
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, either edit your post, or post a reply that is comprehendable and to the point. for more tips, read the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/guidelines.html")webboard guidelines(/url)

The first part made sense. Then... So I'm gonna guess that you're thinking about having convoys that cruise around but aren't always loaded down with cargo. Like a freighter that is en route to it's client and hasn't picked up it's cargo yet. Then there are other times when say the freighter is carrying it's cargo as if it's on it's way to deliver it.
Mmm, possible. You could do it my using a cron and two different sets of flets. One flet would be loaded, the other empty. The cron would controll which flet was active by setting and clearing an ncb then repeating. I don't remember off hand if you can assign cargo to flets or not so it might be necessary to change all the associated flet ships as well.

sry, it was early and i didnt have my cofee yet. If so u have have the fleet roaming around but can you asign items to it? Lets say for example you wanted to have a "prototype fighter" on one of the ships that you could steal once you board could you? The next part of my question is if you can do the above could you have the ship have in its cargo an imes like lets say a "voucher" that you could redeem in the shop for 1, and only one prototype weapon. And also could you add missin triggers to that voucher that you get as loot? That way you could have a mission where you have a 1 in 4 chance of meeting the right fleet as well as a X% chance to actually board the ship and succesfuly retrieve item.
hmmm... AOL talk is also looked upon in a disapproving manner.

Yeah. Aim your writing at a level your english teacher would be proud of. Also, the use of full stops (Americans call them periods, which can lead to confusion, eg: "You missed a period") is a good thing. Every time you have to take a breath, this means at least once per sentence when you read it aloud, you have to have a full stop. Or period, depending on choice. Don't miss a period, this is bad.
Like tDc said, AoL 5p33K is crap, it isn't correct english, and frankly it takes longer to figure out what the hell someone is saying than they save by writing it.
Good. Now, say what you tried to say again, using good and proper spelt english sentensis.

gerr, only on the mac boards, only one the mac boards...
You guys are just nit-picking now. In the entire topic he's used "u" twice and "sry" once. That's hardly reason to get on his case for using AOL speak. There may be a couple run on senctences and a lack of commas but I'd say the attempt at making complete, separate sentences is pretty good. Course the spelling still sucks That aside, Subnetmask, your posts are still completely incoherent and make little sense. Please try quickly proof-reading your posts before you submit them. It sounds like you have an interesting idea here. I'd like to here more about it but you need to form your ideas more clearly.

Them's fightin' words
If I'm reading this correctly, you're talking about stealing various items from special ships.
This can be done with përs resources; an individual ship you might come across occasionally. But, looking at your posts you talk about stopping a convoy and stealing from them. That could also be done.
You could have a mission controlled by a crön, not something you could accept or reject, but something that randomly goes off on it's own. It would give you a limited window of opportunity to hit the convoy, which opens up a few other possibilities which I'll get back to later.
The mission could be programmed to have one special ship, and a goal of disabling and boarding; giving the player (You - not u) a mission cargo. The mission could be scripted to succeed once the player lands after boarding the ship. Other ships in the convoy could be handled with Aux Ships.
On success, the mission could, as you said, grant a voucher (using the command (Gxxv)). Then you would have some "Prototype Weapons", whose outfits would only appear on (Oxxv), and on purchase would execute (Dxxv). This means you only get one of these special items for each time you hit a convoy.
Getting back to using cröns instead of a normal mission: Remember all those rumors that you get from hailing traders? When you hit "Greetings", they send back some message or other; usually "I hear prices for Luxury Goods are low on New Ireland." You could change some of the standard responses to rumor mongering: "You know, sometimes there's a bunch of Federation ships going through the Nesre Secundus System; like they're in a hurry to get somewhere." or "On the fourth and fifth of each month, there's some tech convoy that stops in at Rauther. It makes you wonder what they're carrying."
You could also have a përs ship drop these little bits of info for you, in it's Comm-quotes or Hail-quotes.
