Here's a good one for y'all:
I have three stellars with the gövt RID (and class) 'X' (where 'X' is the RID number of the gövt). None of these stellars are transient (that is to say that they are not controlled by VisBits and are always accessible).
I have a mission set to send a player to any stellar of gövt RID 'X'.
The mission never comes up, and the debug log file says:
"warning: mission ### failed to find a valid nontransient random stellar of govt 'X' or a govt of same class"
This is happening with three different identical missions with three different gövt RiD numbers where there are definitely nontransient stellars with these gövt RIDs.
Any idea what gives?

Assuming you're using NovaTools, are you sure it's set to want the RID, not the index?
Or it could be a bug...

Yes, I'm sure -- it references the proper Index or RID number, depending on whichever is set.
Where are you trying to pick up the mission? I seem to remember something about one of the requirements for random system selection was a minimum distance from the initial system of something like two jumps.
