How do I stop a mission from disappearing when it fails (in Override)? The goal is to escort some ships, but when one of them dies the mission disappears completely from the mission info and the fail desc is never shown when I return (fail bits are still set).

I can't say for sure for EVO since I never did plugs for it. But I'm guessing that there is no way to keep a mission active if it fails. It would kind of defeat the purpose if you could complete missions even if you failed them. I think the FailText has always had problems, but I only know for certain in Nova :frown:
You could try automatically starting a new mission in the OnFail field. The new mission would have no offer or accept texts but the quick info would tell you to keep going and the completion text would be your fail text. The mission would have no objective but to get to a particular spob and you could not refuse it.

If you have a fail text, it should not disappear. If that isn't working for you, I'm not sure what will.

So the fail text is what keeps a mission active after failure?
