I developed the basic looks and graphics for the idea that was around a couple of weeks ago - the "Plugin Recycling Center".
EVula, anyone, whats going on?
Do people want this idea formulated into something more or not?

Well I've also put together an interface, and at the moment I am just trying to put together a cgi application to handle automatic uploads. I will upload the interface later.
**-edit- Ok, uploaded the interface. Ive still got to work out my method for the upload, but it should be fairly straight forward... I may revise the interface soon, Im not too sure if I like it yet...

I want this idea formulated into something. I'll even host it (url="http://"http://www.cdrwerks.com")http://www.cdrwerks.com(/url). My site is on hold right now, been trying to learn PHP, and how to drag people to my site Oh well if you still want to host it at EVula's go ahead.

I like them both.
This would be hard to do unless you had a script to upload plugs becuase if you sent too many plugs at once, the email server would reject them for being over the 10mg limit or whatever.

Would that be hard to make? Sorry if it is a stupid question, but I have only dived into HTML, and CSS.

I haven't been around in awhile, so my vote may not count as much but I like thedeclines idea. They are both really good I just think thedeclines is a bit slicker. Regardless, if someone needs some plugs to work on, I am looking for help with mine. Read about it (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/Forum9/HTML/004165.html#")here(/url) or about the plugin, the New Axiom, in the link below. Thanks for your time.

Yes, i think, i don't think it's possible to make such feature with HTML. Ambrosia's plugin system is a cgi application, for example. (Don't ask me to help you, i just know the HTML and C .)

You are correct sir!
cgi is basically a server end application that reads parameters from the user (usually by a form of some type), and creates a response. Ive done cgi at Uni, and think I could probably devise a system to produce this.
ill start stuffing my files

You could just have an email link, and the peoples who wants to upload their files could just email them to that link, and then who ever runs the site could upload them.... but if some of the files start to get real big (well how big can a half done plugin be...) that could be a problem.
It would be very convinient to have a cgi script which did all the work though...
Can you get a hold of these sort of things over the net?
Also, as far as the look of the site goes, lets put it to the vote...

I think you can get cgi scritps over the net, but you would probably have to pay for them. Im having a little trouble with mine at the moment - I keep getting exceptions that I dont like!
Oh yeah, and we need to wait till I get the next build uploaded before we go to the vote...
I found a bunch of free ones over the net don't know if you would like it or not. (url="http://"http://cgi.resourceindex.com/search/index.cgi")http://cgi.resourcei...earch/index.cgi(/url) and then do a search for uploads, at the link.
Most of them are free. Though some have a lot of features and others don't.
-Edit-Daang thing didn't go to the page, went to the search page instead.

Very difficult to get anything out of that site, most cost money or aren't for mac...
why do they need to work on a Mac? Since most hosting plans are run on Windoze, or a *nix of some kind. That is unless you want to test them on your computer.
perhaps not...
I think the OS'es by the name is the OS the thing has to run on, on the server. Otherwise half of them wouldn't work with Windoze.
I like thedecline's much better. What exactly is the Recycling Yard, though? I must have missed it.
