Flags in EVO

I need help with flags. How does one go about adding something like
0x0004
and
0x0012
to get something like
$00XX?
Flags are weird, and I have no idea how to put them together to do stuff.

Just put $xxxx in the flag field.

It is hexadecimal addition.

1+2 = 3
4+8 = C
8+4+2+1 = F

It is the same as normal addition, only there are more digits.

10 = A
11 = B
12 = C
13 = D
14 = E
15 = F

If you get more than 15, you added wrong. Good luck!

It's obvious that this number system doesn't suit us when we don't have proper numerals to represent the last 6 numbers in it... however, it's the way this sort of thing operates. Evil.
