NCB revisions & problems

OK some things I need to know, that aren't so clear...

When Sxxx operator is used (to start up a mission) will this mission begin regardless of it's availiblebits (say it needs b1000 to be availble, but b1000 is clear)?

PROBS:

I have several missions where strange messages apear before and after briefings, they don't do anything, nor do they stop anything from happening, they just pop up and disapear after you click okay. I have made sure that the NCB's don't line up with anything from Nova, and that all of the descriptions are in he right place. Infact i cannot find any connection with these strange messages at all.

Another problem i am having: In one mission a group of ships escorts you to a battle field, in order for them to appear they are in a seperate mission, which is activated using the Sxxx operator by the main mission. They appear and everything is cool. The problem is that these ships are rocking up one mission before they are meant to, then disappearing and reappearing when they are meant to... What the?
No connection to them is in the mission before either.

Thanks.

1. Yes, it will start regardless of its AvailBits.

2-3. Methinks you need to re-check your flags, crons, and OnXXX fields.

Did you know that 63.8% of quoted statistics are made up on the spot?
"He's too late. SEE?!? THE CLIFFS OF INSANITY!!! Hurry up!"
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. .... Radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." - Albert Einstein

Can you post an example of the "stange messages?" Are they descs, or are they system messages?

Other than that, I'd have to see the plug itself.

I have noticed that now, they are changing. But look, don't worry to much about it, I should be able to sort it out myself...

Thanks
