I had an Idea for a misson and was wondering if it would work: so after the completion of the first missions you get b1 and rank K2. Say you loose K2 by killing the wrong guy. Can you get a mission with offer bits b1 and !K2. Then you go to this planet, and get an unabortable mission offering, then go to the bar for a misson briefing where you are told to go to court. Then you have a date to go to the same planet of different plant for the court where you have loose money privileges etc. Can that work? (by the way, how do I make a rank go active?) ------------------ RoLLeY49

Rolley, are you using Novatool ? if yes, then check if the editor use IDs or Index. (Novatool menu>use IDs). When it's IDs, what i told you about activating ranks is right.

I don't think so- at least nothing I can figure out. The only thing a rank has is a contribute field, and there is no way to do a !(some bit has been contributed). If it had something like an onActivate and onLoss bit-set field, no problem.
This bugs me though- it seems like there should be a way. But I can't for the life of me figure it out. Using an outfit, so you can use the Oxxx test- no good- no way to remove the outfit when the rank deactivates.
Somebody, prove me wrong, please!

I searched for this, and there's no OnLose field, or anything which could test the loss of a rank.
