Does anybody know where I could locate a Lightwave 3D manual in digital form, ideally a PDF. All the Google results are rather cryptic, and the Lightwave site contains little help as far as I can see?

Correction, I did not steal it. A friend of mine gave it to me, it is version 6, he has misplaced that manual and the box, and just about everything else, and he never learned how to use it, so he gave it to me.
The Lightwave 7.5 Manual is in a folder called "Online Docs" on the CD and when you install it. Dunno about 6, but have you tried looking?

Yes, I tried, but I didn't find anything. Perhaps it's got some cryptic name, If there isn't one, could anybody E-Mail their manual, I don't care it it's the 7.5 manual, it's probably not radically different.

Oh, I don't know about that. From what I hear, 7.5 is very different.
Oh, well what do you know. The friend who gave me LW 6 said 7.5 wasn't so different. Hmmmm, let's see, whatever, how big is the LW 7.5 PDF manual? It's probably pretty big I bet 3+ megs.

The Lightwave 7 Manual is 1078 pages long and 20.2MB.
Wooow, okay, waaayyyy off, that would require an FTP and a lot of time. If you're up to it and have an FTP, it would be nice if you could post it for DL. But I'm not going to even think about expecting it.

I have a fast web host and broadband, so it doesn't take time, but I'm not going to do it because (1) I only have 20 Megs of webspace, and I don't want to get EVula mad at me, (2) I'm not sure it would be legal, and I don't want to get HostRocket mad at EVula, (3) I don't know how much use the manual would actually be to you, and (3) you can just order a (url="http://"http://www.newtek.com/discovery.html")Discovery Edition CD(/url) - which is free, has the LW 7 Manual on it, and is completely 100% legal.

I can say with good authority that 6 and 7.5 are while not totally diferent peices of software, they are often diferent enough to make the manual for the latter quite useless for the previous. So the 7.0 manuel might not be of all that much use to you. Joe
