I was thinking about making a little application that lets you search for trade routes. It would work like this: You could search for a commoditty like, say, food, and it would spit out the high and low places for food. Maybe it could search by government (in case you don't want to go into the Auroran Empire for example), and/or could give the highest and lowest nearest you, or give the quickest routes, etc. You could also combine them, i.e. you could look for the shortest, nearest route for a specific commodity in Fed space. Also, it could display a map for you with the places to trade marked.
Unfortunately, to use French, Je suis nul en...erm... programming , so I need someone to help with the programming. I would compile the data, though.

I think there already is one, but for EV/EVO. I remember using it on EVN early in the beta process and finding that it worked quite well with it. Can't remember the name, though.
