ONE BIG WORLD...

Sorry for not being on a lot, but another book report is due and I need to read October Sky by tommorrow. I'll post if I finish the book.

Ferazel Rocks!
Cythera's 'Team Stories' Rock!

Just bringing up an old question I asked that I think didn't get any reply:
What do we do with the leather rope?
Keep it?
Replace it with a tech/ice/purple/vine rope?

Apu: Well, if the police won't help us, we'll simply have to take the law into our own hands.
Wiggum: Yeah, yeah! A lot of people are doing that these days.

There is an unused FG tileset that would go very well with vines.
It might be good for Dark Woods levls also.

Our English class watched a movie made from that book.

I was hoping for a tech rope, but vine is ok, i guess. I can always mess with overlay tiles to make my own tech rope.

Definitly make a large labyrinth level.

I don't think that it should be sand. Maybe a customizedish (sounds like something bush would say πŸ™‚ ) sand.

Please pay no attention to the idiot with the strange signature. He is an idiot with a strange signature.

Note for the idiot with the strange signature: Could we please keep this to the topic or insult Bush? One or the other. Hopefully both. πŸ™‚

I am working on the redesign of "The Lands Beyond." I just realized it was one of my first levels, one made when I still erased with blank tiles. So when I switched tilesets, all of the blank space became sideways mine tracks! Don't worry. Of course there will be some mine carts. Especially underwater ones. Water current makes this interesting. πŸ™‚

If we must, we can put the boomerang in the prison levels. I don't want it so that the user doesn't have choice as to where to go.

"The Lands Beyond" requires the icewall or treetrunk spell. Preferrably icewall.

<marquee> Just testing if this coding works. Probobally not. </marquee>

Hmm. I was thinking that the mines would be before Ferazel recieves the gifts.
Is it an important part to you level, or could it be changed?

If it isn't there, it kind of takes the challenge out of one section. Besides, the mines must be afterwards. How can the user get all the Algernon peices first otherwise? But definitly before the Health/Magic gifts. Otherwise they aren't hard enough. Difficult is fun! πŸ™‚

My level was originally designed for 12 health blocks. I just made it harder and tried it. I spent a half hour getting through it, and I made the level! Think of how hard the "crunchmaze" will be if you don't know the way! I'm into more "puzzel-like" levels and less fighting. Don't worry, plenty of mine cars are in there now. I love puzzels with mine cars. I also love acid jumps that are just too wide to go over.
(sploosh! πŸ™‚ ) I think that I have some pretty cool uses of mine cars (button pushing, roller coasters, just plain mean) I must leave now. I didn't put gold in my level yet! <goes off to add lots and lots and lots and lots πŸ™‚ of gold to level>

Hello all,
I do no think I will be able to make levels for this world. I realize my time with this editor is fleeting. I am going to try to finish my world (Extemperaneous) and bow out graciously, from this wonderful hobby. I know my creativity is not unlimited, and I have other projects I need to work on. I would still be interested in working on the plot and other things, however, you can turn my level editing duties over to someone more worthy.
I am deeply sorry, I am sure you can find a worthy replacement. I look forward to playing you're world.

Has anybody ever gotten the error: "Light overflow"? I think its the $$ I put in... πŸ™‚
You'd think a game like Ferazel's Wand would allow more than ~1000 shiny objects! πŸ™‚ (No exageration)
Oh, well. I'll just have to make treasure chests full of 25 bags-o-cash each.

Aschaaf, you wanted gold, you got gold! I played the level and came out with 6472 coins. How's that? Also, I got one and a half red xichrons throughout the level. (I like goodies) πŸ™‚

I won't be on for about 2 weeks. I have been grounded for getting a 70 on a math test. The only reason I am on now is because my parents aren't home. πŸ™‚

My level is EVIL, pure EVIL! Ha ha ha ha ha... Wait till you see the part where the only way to get oxygen is an invisible and hard-to-find bug! Ha ha ha... (Actually, its clearly marked by BG Overlay tiles, the user just isn't looking for it.) πŸ™‚

Mine carts & Dragon cannons... Interesting combo. Only used once in The Lands Beyond. I think I'll make a level based on that... (prepare to be afraid, very afraid...) πŸ™‚

That's the idea behind the lost mines... πŸ™‚
I'm going to make Mines 1 only somewhat hard.
The rest will be... Shall we say, HARDER... πŸ™‚

I haven't gotten past any of your levels yet.

Yo you frazzel fans!!!! Why dont't you come up with tile set ideas like Monster Mansion, a level made like a haunted house with eerie music, some cool pics, and a boss that looks like frankenstein, dracula, the mummy, or all of them combined(Whoaa, I just thought that sounded kind of scary)!!!! Or a level where frazzel is shrunk! Every thing is like the stuff in your house except bigger(when I say "like the stuff in your house" I mean everything, including bath tubs, sinks, dishwasher, computer obviously (and make it WINDOWS for once!!!!) and also you should change one of the bad guys, one that is not used and make it a giant FOOT!!!) Now aren't these ideas very good? How about a level with gears that turn and lots of cliffs to fall off!!!! Whoa AVN!! Aren't I coming up with some good ideas?

I wish we could.
The editor doesn't support new objects.

I had an idea.
For the Wacky Kingdom, I thought of a laberynth-like library background with jumping along bricks like in CIRCUIT CITY, only when you see stars, instead you see a whole bunch of "SHHHHHHH!"'s in the background. there, once you've beaten certain kingdoms, certain walls open up and you can find spells there. Good idea? I think so. πŸ˜„
I won't be writing much. gotta go!

What is the problem with Windows? Haha! Everything!!!!

How 'bout a conveyer belt? πŸ™‚

<AVN tries hard not to burst out laughing> Oh what the hey, HA HA HA!!! πŸ™‚

As for the library...
Good idea about the spells, Polish Falcon. That would be cooler than having them be in the kingdoms. I suppose we could make a library. "Shh!" is a little weird. What about books, or the words "Misunderestimated" or "Strategory"? Hey all who have tried the weird animated BGs, (level info #1, i think) for that should we use the BG style from the Manditraki Warrior? That would be cool, and the words could fly around behind the purple stuff.

We could put the "Bushisms" and "Mac Toolbox Essentials" and "Greatest Web Board Signatures" and other books in there. I have some for "Greatest Web Board Signatures" πŸ™‚ Mediocre One and Polish Falcon, yours are in there. Also one from the EV Dev board, something like "As I lay in bed last night and looked at the stars, I thought, Where the heck is the ceiling?" & Some other cool ones, too. As for the Bushisms, I think Andrew has something to say about that on the Just Chat board. πŸ™‚ 15 or 16 pages long, I think.

And, Cap't of the Guard, as for "make it windows for once" I say: Ha! Ha ha ha! NEVER!!!! We are all mac fanatics here. :)) And, besides, iMacs are much cooler looking. On the other hand... The big house is cool. Did you steal the feet idea from Pangea's "Bugdom"? Good idea anyway... But, as posted before, no custom enemies. They should change that, or let someone else try... hint hint (I think that's the third or fourth time that's been posted) πŸ™‚

Quick note for Polish Falcon: No, sorry, can't. It's 9 MB's! (nobody shall ever figure out what that meant)

What about making one REALLY hard Labyrinth-like level?
It could be at the maximum size, and be somewhere in the ninth kingdom.
Of course, we'd have to ration the sprites so we wouldn't break the 511 sprite limit. (I might not be exactly 511, but it's somewhere around there)
**

Just wanted to dig this up from way back. I think that is great! I think it should be tech-land tiles because there are some cool possibilities for traps there. Also, I was thinking about Cap't Crowley's Lost Mines, and thought that maybe we should make "the dig like level" be tech. I always wanted to have some crunch tech tiles. it's just plain cool. Plus, we could make the max size requirements and use that to make the labyrinth and just set aside like a quarter of the map for the dig like part. Then of course, we would have the Mines. (With a door that won't open. Yet.)

I also realized that this was supposed to be a vote about whether to do this or not. Oops! I guess it's not anymore. πŸ™‚

As for the 511 sprite limit, that's why we should use the tech set. It has the tiles which can make slipperey spikes. Perfect for traps which don't require sprites. Also, I'm an expert at creating ways to get around the limit. (such as enemy pipes, chests full of goodies, and chests with death balls in them) Why don't I make it?

TS2000 still rules. πŸ™‚

Then what should the gifts be?
I have an idea: The library could be locked with 8 platinum-key-requiring doors, 8 gold-key-requiring doors, and 8 silver-key-requiring doors, and each king/queen/president/etc could give Ferazel one oh each kind.

Can I do the first two?
The Bushisms one should be added right before release, because he keeps saying new ones.

The best recent ones are:
"I would have to ask the questioner. I haven't had a chance to ask the questioners the question they've been questioning."
"I do remain confident in Linda. She'll make a fine labor secretary. From what I've read in the press accounts, she's perfectly qualified."
"And so, I hope investors, you knowΒ—secondly, I hope investors hold investments for periods of timeΒ—that I've always found the best investments are those that you salt away based on economics."
"She is a member of a labor union at one point."
and:
"Natural gas is hemispheric. I like to call it hemispheric in nature because it is a product that we can find in our neighborhoods."

By the way, go to the links in my sig.

Hmm. An old spooky mgold mine below a tech level?
I'd rather have it be below a woods/dark woods/early-ice (Ice, but with woods pxBack)/caves level.

That's fine with me.

Another thing:
I have an idea for a mine level:
It would be at the maximum size, but be easy as far as the enemys are concerned.
It would be sort of like a maze.
I'd add it to the levels list now, but I'm lazy.
I'll add it when there's something else to add also.
(later)Oooh! A TIMED maze! hahahahaha.. πŸ˜„ (hmm, this webboard needs an evil grin...)(/later)
