If you do a search on karma you will learn everything you need to know about it. Also check out the beginning of this link which deals with karma.

It isn't difficult but you do sometimes need to find creative solutions for getting around some of Coldstone's limitations.
My recommendation would be to download the demo and give it a try. If you like it then buy it. If you don't then pass on it. Any questions you have regarding how to use it can be posted and answered on the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum;=Coldstone+web+board&number;=48&DaysPrune;=")Coldstone web board(/url).
Good luck.

Well I did dowload csge a while ago but I didn't try to mess around in it and I just played the default game that came up when I opened csge. But is coldstone like a map editor or is it more of a programming tool? Is a lot of it setting proporties?

CGE has a map editor in which you can create your own maps. However you need to put your maps into a world and make them accessible.
CGE has scriptable events. Ie, you make events by using event objects to form a script of what you want to happen. You then link all of these events together to make things work.
You can create objects, npcs, spells, new classes and races, maps, etc. You can put new graphics into the game if you so like.
There is no programming per say; only scripted events. It isn't overly hard to learn but it will take a bit of time to get the hang of it. There are a few tutorials that have been published to guide you through the creation of games or plug-ins.

You pretty much listed the reasons, he's quite helpful, and he makes a plugin every now and then. I wouldn't be surprised if he made chronicles, either.
Having over 2000 posts helps too.

can you make a good game in csge without adding any new artwork? I SUCK AT MAKING COMPUTER ARTWORK! :frown:

Actually, the majority of my karma came before I had 1000 posts...
I suggest that you ask at the cge board, and download the trial. It does have some limitations, but it does come with some artwork.

Yes, but if you use only the supplied artwork then your game will look like a PoG-clone. Which, while not bad, isn't very original.
:eek:Wow 2 post in the same minute (the 2 above)
