Bryce won't render movies...Help please

While using Bryce 5 with OS 10.2, I noticed some strange things, like Bryce will not stop rendering a scene even after you press a key, move the mouse, etc... you must press the numeric keypad to get it to stop... and some other minor problems.

These became the least of my worries when Bryce decided to stop rendering movie setups, making my plug-in come to a screeching halt. I have my animations set up and ready to go... I render the first frame and press play to bring up the animation dialogue like I've done so many times, but now when I press okay it just snaps back to wireframe view and doesn't render a thing. Corel tech support is about as helpful as Bill Gates at an Amish convention. Can anyone help?

Have you tried reinstalling it? You might want to try running Apples Privilege repair utility. Don't know why that would help, but it's worth a try.

If all else fails, you could just restart in Classic.

Yeah, I already reinstalled it and the problem remains. It still renders some scenes as movies though, just not others. I don't get it.

Perhaps they're corrupted? Have you tried sending them to someone else to see if they can make them work? Or maybe try them on another computer with 10.2? Oh, and what version of Bryce 5 do you have?

And have you tried reinstalling (if it's feasable) Jaguar?

Also, do they, or do they not, work in classic?

Try rendering via the file menu: "Render as Animation", Option-Shift-R. That's what I always do. It brings up that dialogue right from the beginning. Other ways seemed less reliable for me.

As for the stopping of a rendering, I've found difficulties too. The escape key works pretty well, but often takes more than one hit to stop it.

I'm running 9.2.2 though, so I'm not completely positive these will work. They're worth a try though.

Thanks for your help. I didn't fix it, but I found a way around it by rendering them as PICT sequences and encoding them with p2s instead of m2s. Thanks anyway.
