Hypothetical situation: You are making an EVN plug. One of your missions involves the mid-space capture of a ship. This is not merely a disable and board of a certain ship, but an actual capture (i.e. it is replaced by an escort ShidDude), making it appear as if you actually captured the ship. Using the s˙st resource, you made it so that said përs will appear in said system 100% of the time. However, using the përs resource, use used the ActiveOn aspect to insure that said përs does not appear unless a certian mission bit is set.
Your desired effect is that the përs ship will not appear in the desired system unless the mission bit is set; once the bit is set, however, the përs will always be there?
Is this possible?
Another question: Can you make it so that certain missions are availible only to a pilot who has achieved a certain ränk? I know missions can activate or deactivate ranks, but is it possible, using the Kxxx or whatever, to make a certian ränk one of the AvailBits (kxxx is known as the activate rank thing, thus my quandary)?

It sounds like it should work (sort of).
If I understand correctly, you're planning on using a mission to direct you to a specific system (and activate the përs). Once there, you disable and board the përs ship. I don't think you trigger the subsequent mission on successful capture, so you'll just have to do it on board and assume (via the mission text) that the capture was good. So the përs offers a mission and uses the 'Replace with mďsn ship' flag to make the përs an escort.
That right?
On the other issue, you can't use the Kxxx term in the AvailBits field, but you can set a Contrib bit in the ränk and the corresponding Require bit in the mďsns you want to restrict.
