Have you installed NovaTools as the read-me says?

If you have novatools installed properly, each nova-related field should have neat little text boxes with various places to enter the data. To start off, it's a good idea to look at Nova's data files. It'll give you an idea of how everything works, just mess around a bit(after backing it up mind you). It also helps to modify a downloaded plug, so you don't have to be taught how to create a new plugin.
