How can I "manually" set mission bits in EVO?

I'm trying to play "F-25" in EVO and have gotten to the point in the game (it's the same place every time I play) where Aenecia has been levelled by the Kytaarri Fleet and I have to get back there to get the next piece of the mission. However, when I get back to Aenecia, nothing is wrong! The planet is fine, there are ships in the area, the system is red-flagged on my map, the mission stays on my mission board (keyboard letter i), and I don't get the next piece of the "puzzle." Is it possible to "manually" set/clear mission bits in EVO so I can continue with the mission?

Thanks!

Just make a litlle plugin wich contains a basic mission where you clear/set the appropriate mission bits on completion. Just see wich bits to set/clear....

Hope this helps , 🙂

Thanks Entarus! It sure does help! Why I didn't think of it myself, I don't know.

I believe there is a program in either the EV or EVO addons areas that can edit your pilot including mission bits. The name escapes me right now.

I think it was named "Pilot File Editor," or something along those lines.

There was also this plug-in, which I don't remember the name of, that contained some utilities for this sort of thing -- one was a plug-in you stuck in, loaded your pilot file, and would get a mission in the mission computer for every mission bit (to clear or to set).

I believe seant's utiltiy is indeed titled just 'Pilot File Editor'. I'm not sure whether it's in the add-ons directory or not, but that would be the first place to look. If not, do a search of this board; it's been discussed and announced here.

I've got both. You're thinking of "Pilot File Editor." But apparently that's only for EVO. There's also EV Mission Control which has plugins for either setting or clearing misbits. There is no EVO Mission Control, and PFE is only for EVO. I've tried to figure out how to set/clear the bits using PFE, but since the included readme gives no clue as to how to use it, I'm stumped. I tried creating a plug to set the misbits (using Mission Computer), but I had no luck with it. So, until I figure it out, I've set "F-25" aside and begun "Galaxy's Edge." So far, I've only done three missions (two deliveries and one locating Cameron Xerxes) and I've already got Starlight Corp systems mad at me. All I was doing was delivering a load of Nitrogen to a Starlight planet (forget which one), and as soon as I come into the system, I'm set upon by Starlight ships (which, in defending myself, wind up getting destroyed). So, now Starlight hates me (fugitive status). Also, I got a message from Cameron Xerxes telling me "Cameron Xerxes wants to kick your ass!" Gee, sure ain't hard to make enemies in this game, is it?

Wait, I thought you were talking about EVO?!?

I am! I would use the PFE to set the misbit, but I have no clue as to how to go about it. The readme doesn't even say how. If I could find out how to create a plug that sets the bit, then I could go on with the game.
