As you can see, from my other posts, I am trying to come up with a tangent for the Vellos string.
I am finding this difficult. Could it be because I have never done this before?......nah!!
In the game, Krane is about to send you to attack the Polarans. She tells you to meet you in the bar in 1hr. That is the text desn #9372 in misn#411.
What I have been trying to understand is where the Bar text is and how it sends you on to misn#412.
Is there a simpler way of doing this?
Thanks for any help you people can provide.

Still looking? Ouch. I'll think about this some more for you as soon as I have time.

No need (but thanks), I'm going to try to use an earlier point in the game. The point where you land on Mu'hari and find all the T4 and T5's.
My only sticky point remains to be how to get the program to read the plugin instead of the Nova Files (The bible says that the game reads the Nova files first).

Anything that is in the plug-in replaces what's in the files. So why do you want the plug-in to be read instead of the files?

(edit) Ok, except for missions(I tried that just now).
I copied misn 411 to my misn file in my plugin. I then changed the Comptext to ID13000(a desc file I created)
I then ran Nova from a backup character that exists just before this misn starts. It ran normally. Meaning, it ran the misn in the Nova File folder.

The reason I want the plugin read first is because I want to create a little detour for the Vellos mission, or rather a random detour. The randomness is figured out, it is making the game not read a specific mission file in the nova file folder.
If I can do that, I believe I can set a bit in a misn in the plugin folder to read instead.

Can I suggest that you change that desc id? Desc id 13000 is used within the Nova Ships 7 file...

Thanks. I didn't see that description file for some reason.
Okay, I tried a different set of numbers and came up with the same result. I changed the description ID to 7101 and set it for the same in the Comptext field.
It still runs the Nova misn files first. Perhaps misn 411 is a bad example. I still don't know where the Bar text comes from.
So, I'm to understand that Nova reads the resources from the Plugin folder, and then the files from the Nova folders?
Given that that is true, I am doing something wrong, and I know not what.
And this text from the Nova Bible confuses me.
Any resources in an Nova plugin file automatically replace same-numbered resources in NovaÂ’s main files. Resources are loaded from the "Nova Files" folder first and then resources from the "Nova Plug-Ins" folder are loaded.
(edit) No it doesn't For some reason I understand it now.
Now, If I can just make things work, I will be well on my way (/edit)
