How does one make travel through hypergates take up time?

What I mean is: does anyone know how to make time pass when travelling through hypergates (i.e. like normal travel through hyperspace)? The reason I want to do this is because hypergates (or what the B5 universe labels as "jumpgates") is the main way one travels in my plug-in, and I don't want time critical missions to be irrellavent when travel trhough jumpgates have the advantage of taking zero days.

Thanx in advance,

You could have hypergate specific systems. So basically a system would connect to another system that has the hypergate. As for changing the time traveled by hypergates, I don't know.

I can not see any way to do that.

You would create a network of systems in "hyperspace" which the player would have to plot courses through when traveling via jumpgate. Basically, it would consist of copies of the hypergate-containing system, linked by chains of empty systems. (You could use a solid-color, starless background for these systems just as a special effect, too.)

I could do that...but that's kinda "cheating." 😄 But I guess there is no other way to do it (in a non-intrusive way that is). However, I do have a question about the starless background thing, because it doesn't seem to work (a negative number in the "murk" field if I remember correctly)...perhaps its a bug with OS 10.2 and Nova 1.0.1.

Or you could make those systems that odd red color like on the B5 show.
