Banking / Weapon exit point issues

Bit of a problem here. Assume you have a ship, with say 2 wings either side, and guns mounted on the ends of these wings... i cant seem to get the weapon exit points right, since the co-ordinates you designate dont account for banking, thus when the ship banks, its guns go out of line... any way round this?

cheers!

Just wondering - do you have extra frames for banking? I looked at the thunderhead after reading you post and there is a checkbox (in novatools) for extra frames are banking.

Weapon exit points do not take into account banking frames. This is a limitation of the Nova engine.

This will not be changed, and no new features will be added.

Gah, all that time (15 minutes 🙂 ) I wasted messing with the z and xy compensation fields. Oh well I had a sneaking suspicion this was the case and the z field really did just move the exit point in the "depth" axis, heck thanks to NovaTools I could see that was the case. But still... gah, curse my stupidity.

the best way I can think of is just have your guns come out of the center of the ship. It avoids the problems too slow rotation of weapon exit points.

I know it sucks, but the only other way to avoid this problem is to not bank the ship.
