The galaxy is in turmoil, the Vell-os escaped from the federation 50 years ago. The power of the federation quickly diminished without their telepathic slaves, planets revolted and their power was limited to the core worlds. The Vell-os went back to their home world trying to repopulate, they used the latest terraforming technology and brought it back to life, it was during the repopulation that they met their ancestors, a powerful ship like none the Vell-os could create landed and from it stepped forth three of the strongest Vell-os ever, they claimed to be descendants of those who had escaped the federations tyranny and settled further west on the fertile planet of _______? their they prospered and they trained their minds in the off chance that the federation found them. These two races of Vell-os merged and became one, their new friends taught them how to split their minds better, the whole Vell-os talent ratings became useless and knew ones were made. Those who were formerly t6s became t12s and those who were t0s became t6s. it was 43 years ago, that the federation was destroyed, those whom were smart enough fled north to seek help from the pirates whom controlled that sector. The Polaris formed new relations with the Rebels and Formed an alliance between rebels, wraiths and Polaris. The Polaris soon abandoned this alliance because of their internal troubles. Someone let on to the Mu-Hari how needed they were by the Polaris race and that the need not be servants but be what ever they wanted. The Mu-Hari went on strike 2 years after the federation collapse and the polaris empire was brought to its knees. The bloodthirsty Aurorans took their chance attacked and obliterated the lower half of polaris space and captured the Mu-Hari sending them back to slavery. For 9 years the Polaris economy collapsed without the trade of the Cambrians and much technology was lost. Sigma lent its services for a hefty fee and trade was restored. The Polaris lost their knowledge of how to make and service some of their larger ships and so their were few left. The rebels-we need a new name occupied most of what once was federation space but constantly quarrelled with the ever growing Wild Geese whom had somehow managed to acquire plans on all the federation ships and with their ingenuity beefed them up to be some of the more powerful ships in the galaxy. All through this time the ______? corporation built hypergates for any system that could pay for them. It was 26 years ago that the pirates struck. They took down Rebel 1 in less than a day. They fought with modified ships from the once powerful federation and they had some of the meanest pirate carriers that topped the famous unrelenting. The rebels called upon the wraiths for help and together they fought back. Within a year there were unofficial borders established but the pirates still retained rebel 1. The Aurorans continued their strive to eliminate the polaris whilst the Vell-os lived in relative peace. Sol was in limbo between the Aurorans and the rebels whom tolerated each other but during 18th year since the federation collapse the rebels withdrew from most of what was once federation space and fortified smaller borders against the pirates. The polaris without the knowledge of how to make their more powerful ships were loosing to the Aurorans whom had fleets of thunderforges and had managed to acquire plans to build several of the smaller Polaris ships. 13 years ago the Polaris made a great discovery, which turned the tides of the war, one of their spies found a buried computer terminal on Mu-Hari which contained information on how to build many of their lost ships and weapons. The spy managed to get this information off world and back to Kelar ly where the Polaris leaders studied it and started construction on several Raven class ships. With their knew ships the Polaris defended their space and the Aurorans advanced no more. But it was only 4 years ago that the Vell-os encountered something odd, two Javelins exploring north of the known galaxy encountered two alien ships fighting on the size of earths moon. They stood on the sidelines observing but when the smaller of the two was destroyed the Moon sized ship closed in brandishing all sorts of powerful weaponry. The two Vell-os were killed whilst in escaping but all the information gathered was sent back to the collective. The Vell-os quickly mustered their forces for this incoming foe and when if reached their borders they managed to defeat it but with great loss. Many Vell-os were killed and others trying to retreat when out of energy became deformed by not shifting the space around them properly. The sick were cared for but many will never be normal again. The mighty Foe was not seen again for 4 years until just this year, to the far north east of polaris space another battle was taking place between the two alien races this time with the warning the Vell-os gave to the Galaxy after their encounter, most polaris fleets were called in to aid the smaller ships. The battle was won with great casualties, one single cruiser of the smaller aliens survived and it was escorted back to Kelar ly where Polaris scientists swarmed over the ship and the aliens. Their ships were remarkably similar technology to that of which the Ring around the Kelar ly was. Communication was established quickly through a translator designed by a Polaris scientist and the Azuracks? as they called themselves claimed to have once occupied most of Polaris space several Millennia ago but they were attacked by the Kelnarlyos in far smaller ships than they have now. The Azuracks were greatly outmatched and had to retreat back to their own galaxy where they were able to hold their own against the Kelnarlyos. Since then they have designed bigger and better ships and weapons their planets have enormous weapons groundside. They thought they had beat the Kelnarlyos and had peace for 1239 years but recently the Kelnarlyos have returned with bigger ships and better weapons and they have been thrown into war again. They left later that day and headed home but before they did they left the Polaris various maps of their galaxy and what they know Into this you are thrown, 50 years since the Vell-os escape. You have just graduated from a backwater flight academy and have been given your fathers Lightning which he gave you as part of his will. Your destiny is uncertain and entirely in your hands

If pipeline ever sends me the required information, I could make maybe 2-3 more Vell-os ships, that look like the ones in the game.
