I am working on a total conversion plug-in for Nova and am running into a problem I can't find the cause of. I am building the galaxy out from the center, which is the Sol system (ID 128). In certain other systems around Sol, the game creates a hyperspace link BACK to Sol which I did not write. This unwanted link only appears from X system back to Sol, not from Sol outwards - meaning it is only visible when I am in X system. I can't seem to figure out why this happens, I have checked my connect IDs for Sol to make sure there weren't extra. Any suggestions? (this whole problem may be due to "leftover" systs in the original EVN data that I haven't replaced yet. I have made blank rewrite systs up to ID #280 something, but maybe there are higher numbers still interfering)
Thanks, sorry if this has already been asked.
If I understand your question correctly, you have to check the connections for the systems around Sol. The reason Sol doesn't connect to them is that Sol doesn't have their system IDs in its connection field, but they have Sol in their connection field. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
By the way welcome to the boards Duke.

Thanks for the response. I have made sure that the other systems do not have Sol in their connection fields too; sorry I didn't explain that in the original post. Here's an example: Sol is set to connect to syst ID 129, 130. syst ID 131 connects to 130, both ways. 131 does NOT connect to Sol, and Sol doesn't connect to 131. However, whenever my pilot is in 131, there is an unwanted link to Sol.
Still confused, unfortunately.
Thanks
I recommend (first) creating syst resources to replace all those in Nova. Namely, 128-678, 759-768, and 1127. For those you don't want to use, put b7123 in your visibility (test) expression and don't use that bit in your scenario.
If the problem persists, check syst 131 for any connection that says "0". NovaTools or EVN may be interpreting that as an index number, which would be resource 0+128=128, Sol. If this also fails, delete syst 131 and create it again. This re-do has solved a number of my problems.
