Since I didnt want to go around posting too many new topics I thought I put both my questions into this one.
Firstly, in a plug in mission im creating, you get an escort from a ship, which by the text description clearly states the pilot as female. I know you can designate race, Polaris/Fed, whatever, I just need to know if i can inhibit the escort from using a male voice.
Secondly, Im thinking of creating a weapon where you launch it, and 6 or so projectiles spray out the forward of the ship similtaneously, lay dormant for a few seconds, then 'fire', and become charged particles which accelerate towards the enemy. (just trying to create a cool looking weapon basically).I know someone mentioned you could have multi stage rockets, but I dont know if they could be adapted to suit this, firstly they would need to change from a forward gun(with high inacuracy to obviusly give the 'spread' launch), to a guided weapon. Secondly, Id like another sound to play as they blast from their idle states in space. (the only way I can figure of gettin round this one is to have the sound play when they are first launched, then have a gap in the sound, then have anoter play, perfectly timed so that it matchesthe secondary stage of the weapon.

Yep, both can be done easily enough. The Nova scenario has examples of both things you mention. . mcb

I don't know how you can do it with the gender thing, but you could make the ship be of a "female" government, and then assign female voices to that government (the govts in EV Nova can specific voices - hence the "arrgh" etc of the the pirates in EVN.)
