I'm running 8.6 as well....and no matter what version I try, either 3.0.2, or 3dbase, it won't take the registratoin...I'm going to leave this alone....I don't think it was meant to be. :frown: Too bad the 1st generatin g3 powerbooks can't update to OS9, or I would have a long time ago.

I've never tried using Strata because I've never found a free version. I've been using Mechanisto which is free and has been able to do whatever I've needed of it.

Actually yes they can. All G3s can be upgraded to OS9. Infact almost all Power Macs can, I think. As for not being able to get it working I have offered before to send my Registration Documents. Do you want them?
For anyone here actually who does, I have them uploaded to my webspace, and they can be downloaded from here (4.9k):
(url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/ewanc/strata3d_resources.sit")http://homepage.mac....d_resources.sit(/url)
Included in the download is a small Read me file telling you how to use them, and what to do inorder to make them work.)
Hope this helps some of you, ewan
