Hi there everyone
I have noticed there have been heaps of posts about people asking about 'sprites'. Since I am a newb to it all too, i thought i should share this (url="http://"http://crystal.sourceforge.net/csdocs/sprite3d.html")http://crystal.sourc...s/sprite3d.html(/url)
this is a website i stumbled onto, and it is absolutely fantastic... it explains everything you need to know about sprites and 3D sprites for games.
It helped me heaps to understand the terminology. I would recommend anyone starting out and anyone who wants to brush up should visit that site and have a read.
I hope ya'll enjoy it.
The Monkey
Peace
It seems to me that those sprites are not the same sprites used in Nova, but rather 3d polygons used in games such as quake or unreal tournament, which use a 3d engine. Nova has a 2d sprite system that uses pre-rendered sprites. It was a good site though, with lots of little facts even I didn't know.
