The box does many things, some helpful and some harmful. If you read the inscription on the bottom of the lid it says, "Danger, use at your own peril." Of course, to read it you have to open it... Must be a design flaw.

Log in and read the web board guidelines again and I just might. Dragging up old useless topics for no more reason then "look at me!" is in bad form. I used it about 7 times. 4 I landed up in the same cave(some one w/ cyclops), 1 I ended up in a different cave(ghost swamp), 1 I got 86 coins, and 1 I got a blue-stained vial. what's up with all the caves? And what's the vial do?

I hope, Stark, you don't mind me saying that there are about 15 different posibilities that can happen with the use of Pandora's Box (I might have lost count) and I found it to be a lot of fun to just keep trying it as long as you're willing to take the consequences. Be prepared for anything if you cast its spell. ~RD

So is there a real point to Pandora's Box? When should I use it? It can't be extremely useful if you are in a battle. Is it worth the 50 mp for it?

Not a whole lot of a point, no. It is useful, kind of, for some situations. But mostly it is a gag toy.
Some day I may revisit the spell and add a few more random things to it that I didn't have time nor the drive to do when it was released.
For instance, I really wanted the spell to be able to summon a group of adolescent boys and girls and then turn the player into a twinkie. But, alas, it didn't happen. Maybe in the future...

Gojita.. pandoras box is NOT an offensive spell dont even try it when attacking. if you try it once in a neutral place you will see what i mean...

Hi Drffat, Welcome to the boards! Gojita says in an earlier post that he has used it about seven times - he just hasn't "pushed the envelope" yet. You are absolutely correct in saying that it is NOT an offensive spell. It could serve, however, as an escape spell if you were lucky. You might be going from the frying pan to the fire or it might get you off the stove, that is the chance you take. There are certainly safer and more predictable ways to move around the Kingdom. Some players just like to take chances. In the end-game, when you have been everywhere, there is some excitement added by not knowing what will happen next. Maybe this is its greatest value, and then again, maybe not. ~RD
It does have one nice use. In fact, very nice. However, I can't mention what it is or the whole board would beat my brains out. Play with it. Try random things. If you figure it out you will be very happy.

I am fairly sure the new sea giants do about 50+ damage than the old ones because I got fried one blow with 350 health

They also give more experience points when killed, and have a greater fear factor (I.E. they run away when they get hurt.) Pure bred Sea Giants stand and fight to the death, but I've already razzed Stark about this and don't want to rub it in.
Pandora's box has seven locations you can be sent to (if my memory has not failed) but the destination is completely random and you could end up it the same spot three times in a row.
