Hey, - wow, I've been gone awhile. I recognised two people here.
Anyway, I just managed to finish downloading EVN, and it won't start up. As the red bar starts to go across, I get this message:
**Assertion Failure! Nova will now quit. The Failure occured here:
Sprite.c 1625 N/A**
I don't think it's an extension conflict as I already tried disabling all unnecessairy extensions/control pannles/etc, and I just downloaded it so I'm obviously not using any plugins. I really don't want to download it again either, as 75.8 MB is a lot on a 56k moden through GovNET.

If you're on ICQ or AIM, I run an ftp server, just let me know when you're on and I'll throw my nova files in my shared folder...
It might take a while, but better than downloading the whole thing over again.

it sounds like your file was corrupted either on download or unstuffing. I would try DL again from a different source. is it still on the idisks?
btw, you may only recognize two people but I'm sure more than two people recognize you.

Rak: Thanks. I'm not using any of those versions of those programs, but I posted on the topic. Ambrosia should be able to take it from there.
Of course, if someone here comes up with a solution I'd still be glad to hear it.
