I've been having problems using ModType 27, the "Increase Maximum", field in Nova oütf resources. The feature simply will not work. I posted this problem back in "Increase Maximum Difficulties" assuming that I simply did not know how to use the feature. I've studied the Nova Bible, and tried using the ModType with Index and Resource numbers with the correct and incorrect radio button selected in Nova Tools, and have also tried a variety of different outfits. However, the feature is just not working, and I've begun to suspect that it is a bug of some sort. If anyone has further information on the subject, please tell me. I received some good suggestions on alternate ways to implement some of my ideas, but I'd still like to be able to use this particular outfit type.

Are you using more than one outfit with ModType 27? I could be wrong, because I've never used this ModType, but the problem may be that you are only using one. The formula is (outfit max)(#of ModType 27s pointing at the outfit), unless the number of ModTypes 27 is zero, in which case it is discounted. That means that having only one increase maximum outfit will not change the maximum (1xM is still M).

I've tried that, and have also specified more than one "Increase Max" field for one outfit.
Well, if you're convinced it's a bug, it wouldn't hurt to report it.

I wanted to get some feedback from the board first to see if anyone else has had success using the feature. I guess I didn't make this clear in my first post.
No, I understood. Since nobody yet has reported actual success, only saying how it should work (which you say it doesn't), it seems like you're justified in reporting it.

To the best of my knowledge, it does work correctly. I suspect there is something else that is preventing you from purchasing the items, but if you send me documentation and a plugin file with easily available outfits to test it with, I can look into it.

The benevolent Matt Burch looked over what I sent and said that ModType 27 did indeed fail to work in certain situations. He did not specifically state that he would fix the problem, but I very much doubt that he would leave it flapping in the wind, so hold tight.
