What resource controls how and when those bad fission reactors go off in your ship? I'd like to make a bomb that is set on board. Also, how would you force a ship change as part of a mission? In other words, the pilot accepts the mission, but it has to be done in a certain ship. Thanks for any help. --Den

a) The oütf resource is what you are after - make one of the effects of the outfit be "bomb". Or is it "delayed bomb"?
In the mission accept bit set string, use the Cxxx or Exxx or Hxxx operators, where xxx is the shďp ID. C = keep current items (which is a good idea if one of them's this bomb). E = keep current items AND get default items of new ship. H = get items of new ship, lose all current items except for "persistent" (stays when change ship) ones.

This seems like a good spot for a question I have: once you've forced the player into a particular ship, is it possible to restore the player to his/her original ship later? I'm guessing the answer is no...

The answer is no.

Yes it is! You simply have each ship type have a unique bit set when you are in it, make a different copy of the mission for each of those bits, and have the end of the mission change you back to the right ship accordingly. Easy, but very very time-consuming. Then again, some people will go to any lengths to set someone up a bomb.

Thanks, I've got the bomb thing now--or anomolous object as they say in the game. But as to : when I'm giving someone a ship they have to name it right? I can't figure out how to do that. ?? Thanks, Den.
