I am doing this very tentatively. I am in the process of developing a plugin and have decided that I will do a little early testing. The plugin is nowhere near finished, but I would like to see what people think. I only need 2 or 3 people. So don't go rushing post if you see 20 posts up here. The plug has lots of work to be done, but I need people to catch early bugs and give me suggestions.

Thanks to Stark's genius, the plug is ready to go, however, i want to add some spells. It should be sent off by Friday, if not, I will try to remember to post here and I will try to get it ready by saturday.

Naw, not my genius. Actually, had you not sent me the source code to look at I don't think I would have found it. I'd not encountered that problem before(though when I saw it I put two and two together and figured it out).
I'm going to do some testing on my own of what you were trying to do and see if I can achieve the same crashing results like I suspect I will find. If so, you have found a bug in Coldstone. Congratulations! (no, this isn't something to be over-joyed about, except that you can say it really wasn't your fault)

Actually, I found Tanis's post kind of funny. I took it that he was making fun of himself(since he earlier made the "it's still not out yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" post).
Anyhow, C|-|a0s, if you have selected your testers then it would be best to move this off the boards and into e-mail. No use having a play-by-play of a plug-in in progress. Testers should e-mail you directly, and you should e-mail them with info on your plug-in. I would recommend setting up a mailing group list with your testers and sending correspondances to the group, and having them write the group as well with correspondances.
This especially helps when they begin debugging, as they can help eachother and it minimizes duplicate reports.

An alternative: if you'd still like to have a board to post about this and have only your beta testers be able to read it, I could set up a board for you (url="http://"http://forums.evula.com")here(/url) and make you the moderator of it so you can control who comes in. Just a thought.

When I posted that, I wasn't making fun of myself, but, now that I look at it, I guess it is kind of funny...
