I'm making a little plug-in for my own amusement, and I've created two gövts - the Cows and the Cow-Tippers. Now, you would think that these would be mortal foes, and so I tried to set them as enemies (BTW, I'm using NovaTools from wootWare), but they refuse to attack each other.
Does anyone here have experience with NovaTools? Do you need to type the ID or the index # of the enemy gövt into the enemy field? Oh, and while I'm at it, what do the "class" fields do? (Yes, I have the EVN Bible, but I don't understand its explanation.)
Please help.

Have you set the MaxOdds to anything. Set it to something like 250 and they should start blasting each other. And check your düde resource to make sure they are set to either warships or interceptor. And back to the gövt, make sure they are set as enemies

There is no definite answer on that, because it can depend. You can set NovaTools to display the index number OR the resource ID number by default; check which one you have on, and double-check your number. If you tried putting in the index number when its supposed to be a resource ID in the enemy fields, that could cause the problem of them not hating each other.

Neither. You type in the class number of the governments you want to be this government's enemies. Try this: if the Cows have '1' in their class field and the Cow-Tippers in in class '2', then the Cows should have their enemy set to '2' and the Cow-Tippers should have their enemy set to '1'. Of course, you'll want to use higher numbers to avoid conflicting with the governments already present in EV Nova.

Have you thought of adding farmers (përs only would probably be best)? Make their ships have very high strength values, so that cow-tippers (with low MaxOdds/strength) run away when the farmers come. The farmers of course should be allied with the cows.

No, I haven't, but that's a superb idea and I think I'll do it. Thanks for all your help, everybody!
