Is the Marine Platoon a usable outfit by AI ships? I mean can it be used to repel boarders(me) and then be eliminated if I capture the ship. I want to make marine crews that stop me from boarding, but if I succeed they die in the attepmt to repel me. That way you do not have an overpowered ship.

I don't think this is possible.

They already can repel invaders, it happens when you take on a much larger ship (in terms of crew).

This isn't actually too hard to do: just give the ship whatever effective crew you want it to have against boarders, then make an invisible outfit called, say ";crew -1", make that outfit reduce the ships crew by one, and give the ship as many of those as you need to make its player-usable crew into whatever is appropriate. There's a catch, though: this ship will display the computer-used crew value in the purchase ship info dialogue, so you'll want to make any ship that uses this trick non-purchasable.

If you're talking about EVO, I think in the bible it says there's an preset option that it will prevent you from boarding at all regardless of the number of crews the disabled ship has, you'd get a message saying that you were unable to board the ship and were pushed back or something like that.
This feature saves you the trouble in just creating hundreds of crews for one particular ship, so you could be pushed back from a ship that had one person in it.

Yeah, set the crew to 0. That's why the vell-os and wraith can't be boarded.
