Here's a quick hacked together candidate... it's just an updated version of the current logo, but I think it looks halfway decent.

Here is a revised version, it has three which now represents all the EV series, I do admit that the Nova plug-in design is not of that of the icon version but I thought it look good being consistent with the other, unless it bothers many, well, if it does, I guess I can change it to a brown with tools making an X across it.

Probably, but unless someone states the outline of style required, its freestyle and everybody would be entitled to make a new logo in their own style. And this one I made happens to be an example. Of course it doesn't limit me to making another stylized logo.
I vote for the Tarantula to make a comeback. If anyone can find the old logo, that is.
