I read a while back that you could find out the pilot log by placing a blank doc in the pilots folder. What else do you need to do? I did this, but it would not work.

That's slightly incorrect - put a blank file called "pilotlog.txt" in the main EV Nova folder, not the Pilots folder.

It should be simpletext too I believe.

Mine are BBEdit (of course!). I don't think it matters, as long as it is a plain text file (ie: microsoft word documents wouldn't work there).

Simpletext, BBEdit, they're all the same... plain text is what I meant.
I don't think it has to be any format at all, I just type "touch pilotlog.txt" in the CLI and it seems to work.
